For the second year in a row, EcoVadis, the global standard for CSR assessments, bestowed the Platinum award to Altus Coating.
The repeat award occurred at the very end of 2022. Here, we share the full details of EcoVadis’s eligibility criteria.
EcoVadis’s overall score (0–100) reflects the quality of a company’s CSR management system at the time of evaluation.

Ecovadis Platinum Altus Coating 2022
EcoVadis’s overall score (0–100) reflects the quality of a company’s CSR management system at the time of evaluation.
EcoVadis bases its CSR recognition levels on Altus Coating’s percentile range score and on a minimum score for each theme.
The percentile range is calculated for all companies across all industries, not for each industry.
The criteria for attributing awards have been reexamined since the last 2021 award season. They brought the overall 2022 score to 75–100 for the Platinum award, compared with an overall score of 73–100 the previous year. In 2023, the overall score will be between 78 and 100.
Altus Coating’s overall 2022 score therefore stood at 81% versus 76% in 2021, reflecting a genuine, serious progression, well above the minimum criteria for the Platinum award, and despite even stronger environmental, social, human rights, and ethical criteria.
Alongside the most competitive companies in terms of CSR, for the second year in a row, Altus Coating has confirmed its position amongst the top one percent worldwide in the professional* category, assessed by EcoVadis.

Altus Coating score details for the three award criteria:
• top 1% for environmental issues
• top 2% for ethical issues
• top 12% in the “Social & Human Rights” category.
“For Altus Coating, the EcoVadis assessment, which was originally requested by a major international client, allowed us to turn a corner, moving from a purely French assessment to international certification. Undergoing an annual review and our progression (Silver in 2019, Gold in 2020, Platinum in 2021 and again in 2022) are powerful drivers for the Altus Coating team. They encourage us to stay committed to the continuous progress approach we set ourselves vis-à-vis other stakeholders, based on two aims: CSR must go hand in hand with innovation.” Eric Pertus • CEO – Altus Coating.
